Water

I picked up a few things up at Stater Brother’s yesterday. As I was walking in the store I went down the Water isle. Yes they now have so many water’s that one isle is dedicated to “Water”. If you wanted to get some water at the store today it will take you hours to pick the one that is right for you.
They have…
Artesian Water, Mountain Water, Distilled water, Crystal Water, Glacial water, Spring water, Fitness water, Fruit water, Vitamin water, Invigoration water, Calm your life water, Shield your life water, Energize your life water, and the one I picked up was Enlighten your life water. I have always wanted to be “ENLIGHTEN”! I might even give it to someone as a gift and they can drink it and will be enlighten!

I picked up a few things at Smart and Final yesterday and they have some water that Stater Brother’s does not carry, they have “Smart Water”. Now you can find all your answer to life and fix all your problems with a bottle of water!

I noticed something-- all of that water was trying to fix the problems and the situations that we find ourselves in. But I know this guy. His name is Jesus and he gives this water that will not fix your problems but goes to the source and gives you life.
He has said “All who drink of this water will be thirsty again. But whoever takes a drink of water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up within him unto eternal life” (John 4:14)

The water at Staters, Smart and Final and in life will cost you something, sometimes your own life but the water I want to drink is free to the taking. All we have to do is ask Jesus for it and we will be blessed with it.
Ask Today and you will be enlightened! Jesus

We All Have Them!

All of us have them around our homes.
Some have them inside our houses.
We are troubled by them and for some they keep us up at night.
We try to rid them from our lives but they keep coming back.
It’s because “they” rule the World!
Critters’
We all have them!
My critters are raccoons. They get into my trash and have dinner, lunch or Breakfeast.
No matter how tight the trash can lid is on they can get it open because…
They rule the World!
A picture from last nights encounter. A mother and her baby!

A pain to have around but critters are cute.
We would miss them if they were not here and we have no one to rule the world. Maybe then we would have to settle for Clinton, McCain or Obama.
The other critters in our lives that are keeping us up at night!

Prayer

Yesterday a Dear Lady of Central Community was placed in Kaiser Hospital in Riverside for having Phenomena.
She has been in charge of our prayer chain for many, many years. If you needed prayer, you would call the church and we would call Pauline.
She would call a list of people and you would have people praying for your needs. Many prayer's over the years have been said because Pauline has been so faithful.
Because of one lady-- people's lives are changed! God can use you in the same way not matter your age. Pauline is 86 years old!
She now needs your prayers. Please pray for her!
Thanks!

Lullaby

The sound of a voice singing in comfort, in love, in joy and maybe just a little depressions was moving last night in our house. Our daughter and her husband were playing mom and dad for the day and night with our granddaughter. They had brought her to our place and taking care of her at Papa’s House.
The toys and the games had been played with, the videos had been watched, and books had been read and the prayers had been said. Now to sleep without the comfort of Mom and Dad, so the songs began.
I remember singing to that girl that was now singing to my granddaughter. Songs of joy like…
“The Ants go marching one by one"
“I found a peanut”
“Amazing Grace”
"Old Mc-Daniel"
"A song I would make up the words"
My favorite was and still is “Hush little baby”.
Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring
And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass
And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a Billy goat
And if that Billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull
And if that cart and bull fall down,
you’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town
This Valentine day of 2008 I now can sing a song to three of the special girls in my life, My Valentine’s. I know that they will not like a mocking bird and I will not be able to buy them a diamond ring. My budget is more in the line of a Billy goat.
But one thing I will always sing and promise to each of them is...
“You’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town”
Happy Valentine Days!

Iron Woman

I received a letter in slow mail today from the United Steelworkers. Inside was a sticker from the voting office with the words “I Voted” on it. It’s always great to be remembered by a Steelworker!
I can wear it proudly and share with the world that I voted. It is a privilege and honor to live in this country and to vote into office a person of my liking. That is as of today! You never know my liking of Tomorrow. I might write in that Steelworkers name the next time I go to vote.
KAREN DEGROOT THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

Portable Snow Man Carrier

I placed some snow into a small ice chest that we have and brought it down the hill so all the kids around my mom’s house could build a snow man. My granddaughter, my niece and all the other kid’s in the neighborhood that call my mom “GRANDMA” could now build a snow man. Some have never seen snow before.
My Granddaughter is into building things. “I BUILD” is her favorite word after “PAPA”. (LOL) She called me today wanting to build a snow man again. So in the morning I will bring down the Portable Snow man Carrier. The thing we do for family and friends.
