I received a letter in slow mail today from the United Steelworkers. Inside was a sticker from the voting office with the words “I Voted” on it. It’s always great to be remembered by a Steelworker!
I can wear it proudly and share with the world that I voted. It is a privilege and honor to live in this country and to vote into office a person of my liking. That is as of today! You never know my liking of Tomorrow. I might write in that Steelworkers name the next time I go to vote.

Portable Snow Man Carrier
I placed some snow into a small ice chest that we have and brought it down the hill so all the kids around my mom’s house could build a snow man. My granddaughter, my niece and all the other kid’s in the neighborhood that call my mom “GRANDMA” could now build a snow man. Some have never seen snow before. My Granddaughter is into building things. “I BUILD” is her favorite word after “PAPA”. (LOL) She called me today wanting to build a snow man again. So in the morning I will bring down the Portable Snow man Carrier. The thing we do for family and friends.

34 Ford
My Father's birthday was yesterday. He has born on Jan 17, 1934 in a little town called Sweetwater, Oklahoma. I can describe my father with a picture.
He owned a 34 Ford once in his lifetime and he always wanted to buy another one. He was as wild as that car but he was Dad. He was as soft as man can be and as hard as the world had taught him. He was always there. He was my father I am proud of what he became. Happy Birthday Dad! One of many more celebration in heaven.I wish he would have kept the car for us to drive in 2008.

One Of The Chosen
I Voted Today!
Jan 17, 2008
My Dad’s birthday!
Before you think you missed the voting day, I received in the mail last week a ballot for the Feb 5, 2008 consolidated Presidential Primary Election. Our address has been designated as a mail ballot precinct.

My Dad’s birthday!
Before you think you missed the voting day, I received in the mail last week a ballot for the Feb 5, 2008 consolidated Presidential Primary Election. Our address has been designated as a mail ballot precinct.
This means there is no polling place for me. I feel robbed! No where to go into a booth with a curtain around it and to mark the one I think will do a good job. I will not tell you the name of the person I voted for. But if they win the election I will tell you my vote is the one that got them into office.
Boy I miss that little room inside a big room! I miss the little sticker that you got to wear all day saying “I VOTED TODAY”. Maybe they will send the sticker to me in the mail.
Go Vote on Feb 5, 2008!

My son, his wife and my granddaughter made this snow man. They are proud of it. It is a first for my granddaughter and one of many from the other two. It lost its nose last night to one of the following:
squirrels,
raccoons,
coyotes,
bobcats,
deers,
skunks,
mountain lions,
a mouse.
Good thing Bears are not on this list.
Take some time in your day today to make something with a family member. Take a picture of it and send it to me at Ken@centralcommunity.com. I will place the winning picture on this site.

Around the Bend
I meet a man for the second time today. I and Tricia were coming to church this morning and around one of the turns was a truck on its side. The man was going to fast and hit a patch of ice. The rest is history. You could see the tracks of his truck in the ice. He battled to keep the truck on the road. As we came up to him, he was walking around and ok. He looked like a sweet, kind guy in his early 60’s. His right arm was banged up a little. Another driver was already helping him and things were in control. I asked if we could call anyone for him and he said there was no one to call. We called 911 and other help was on its way, mainly for his truck.
We had met this guy about a month ago. He was driving up the hill and slid off the road and into a snow bank. He was going to fast again. He was not hurt but just had to wait for a tow truck to pull him out. Tricia prayed for Him.
Can’t wait to meet the guy for a third time! But I will ask for his phone number this next time and I and Tricia will take him out to dinner, something is calling us together. It just might be life, but you never know. He really just might not have any one to call. Maybe God has been calling us to help him.
Watch your driving today and watch out for the others around you. They might need your help today!

Today Cake, Tomorrow a Toy
We are going down to Siempre tomorrow to share in their Christmas celebrations. Here are some of the kids that will be unwrapping presents instead of eating cake.
