Cars

I love cars! I hate cars! Its something we all have said over the years. We love them when they cause us no problems but if something happens and it stops working, we hate them! I and Tricia just got done paying for her Jeep Liberty about two months ago. You can guess what I will say next. Yes it broke down. After you pay something off and it’s yours free and clear it always does something weird. The compressor on the air unit went out. I would have not fixed it and she would have just been without air but the belt that runs the alternator, water pump, power steering is on the same belt, so nothing would have worked. She also would have killed me. So we fixed it.
She was coming to get me in my Jeep so we could put her car in the shop and she broke down. She is really hard on cars! My clutch went out on Arlington and Magnolia. A busy street and when she called me she was not in the best of moods. But I love her anyways! Good thing she is not a car!

A letter from Africa

I have been talking to a friend of mine in Africa. I asked him to write me a letter about his life so I could post it to this bog site. He could open it up in Africa and show his friend's that he is now world famous. The picture is of him working in a place called Kipsongo helping the poorest of the poor. Years ago I walked with him and others in that little piece of earth. I long to go back! To set down once again to share in their life and the struggles they face each day. Compared to that little village and the people struggles,I have "NOTHING" to complain about.

A letter from William Lonyanga
Dear pastor.
It is yet another moment God has given to us both through his love and care. I,m pretty okay and trust in the Lord. Hope that you too still burning with love in Christ. I believe you are okay, I too the same,
The following is my life history. I hope you will be touched with my past.
I,m William, I was born in Kenya Turkana district a place known as Lokhapel. I grew in the both hands of both parents together with my other siblings. My home district is semi arid therefore our economic activity is/was pastrolism. It was in 1994 whereby the fate and the mishap of my life fell on us. In the past there has been a raiding activity between my communities and the Pokot the neighboring tribe. This went on till this year whereby my father was killed after being ambushed by raiders.
I went to live with my aunt and life became miserable. The few livestock could not sustain us. One years later there came another raid which was revenge and my mother was killed in a cold blood and my siblings kidnapped now I have three brothers. I ran away from home to kitale town. I lived along the corridors of the streets. I experienced harsh treatment with the police tonight.
Food was a dream a day after another I ate leftovers and engaged in drug abuse and trafficking.
One day I decided doing casual jobs like offloading sacks of maize from long distance tracks. Two years later I got a serious injury in my chest.
My own friends ran away because of my conditions, I lost hope of living. One day, which was God’s day, I met you in deliverance church and felt a sign of relieve in my soul. I believed that God is out to correct my past. Your cordial smile, your love and concern made me forget my past. I became focused again. You became my parents, my sibling and a friend. I was reflected but you replaced my lost hopes. so encouraging, Blessing upon your life.
I therefore under the sun believe that you and your wife are my parents. What a wonderful God, Thanks for love and your kindness, as long as you live you will be blessed abundantly. Life in the street is very hard and I’m very concern of street boys and girls I hope God can use me to change there lifes in the picture i,m the one holding the baby.{My vision is to Give hope to hopeless}
I will pray for you every day.
Your Son in Christ William

Gas

I pulled into the gas station the other day and paid $2.35 a gallon for gas. Wow what a deal! I remember saying $2.00 a gallon would be the most I would ever pay for gas! How time changes things.
Want to get a great deal on gas. Go to Siempre our children home in Tijuana, Mexico. As you leave Mexico, fill up your tank with $2.35 a gallon gas. Yes gas in Tijuana is now $2.35. I saved $30.00 for taking a trip to Mexico. I got paid for working at Siempre that day. I worked 10 hours for $3.00 an hour.
Prices for a gallon of gas in Norway $8.73, England--$8.00, Japan $5.77, Australia—$3.85, Mexico City $2.22, Russia $1.45, Kazakhstan $1.35, Saudi Arabia .91 cents, Venezuela .14 cents. If I only gone to Venezuela instead of Tijuana I would have saved $77.14!

A Meal at Goofy's Kitchen

We took are granddaughter to Disneyland the other day. It’s the only place were you can eggs and bacon with a side dish of ice cream and cookies. Don't tell our son and daughter-in law! The Mad Hatter was there with Goofy, Chip and Dale, Alice in wonderland, Pluto and Ba loo the bear. Goofy cooked the meal. What a treat!
