To get a loaf of bread we walk into Staters Brothers pick it off the shelf and go to the check out and we are done. Probably will take you 5 minutes at the most. Amazing!
Me and Tricia went for a hike down Deer Creek trail the other day. At one point of the trail you come to Granite Rock. On that rock are holes the Cahuilla Indians used to grind the acorns and grain to make their bread and mush. The picture below is of those griding holes.
They would have to collect the acorns and grains in the forest, grid them at Granite rock, take them back to their village, mix them with water, cook them and then they would have bread. Probably took them 5 hours. Amazing!
Take a hike today! Wonder what you will come upon?
